The adsorption separtion in oily water separator

In adsorption separation, the oil particle is adsorbed in the inner ostiole of the porous material who has large specific surface. The porous material used in adsorption separtion is oleophilic, such as oil-phile fiber , coke, active carbon and so on. The porous material used in adsorption separation will be choked easily, so this kind of separtation is often used as the last stage separtation. The back wash method is not effective  to clean the porous material, while it should be heated up dead sorption or renewed.
